Melissa Beit has had stories published in The Australian, The Big Issue, Southerly, Meanjin, the Sleepers Almanac, Best Australian Stories, New Australian Stories, Skive, the Australian Women’s Weekly, and various national and international anthologies. Her stories have been place-getters or highly commended in many competitions, including The Age, the Alan Marshall and the EJ Brady Short Story Prizes.
She lives in coastal northern NSW with her family and a bunch of chooks.
